Madame Coco's: The Enchanted Emporium is set to open this spring in the 100 block of South St. Asaph St. in Old Town Alexandria.
Meshelle Armstrong of the Eat Good Food Group, of famed Restaurant Eve, Society Fair, Hummingbird together with partners Daniel & Stacey Wharam of Fontaine caffe, Zuki Moon and Grape & Bean, are behind the project.
Madame Coco's will be "where fantasy meets luxury in a whimsical chocolate lounge and retail store."
"Step into a world of enchantment, where the perfect hostess gift and everything chocolate awaits — all while enjoying a personal portion of gourmet ice cream," according to Armstrong.
The vintage-style store will have infused ice cream in a unique flavors: Strawberries & Rose,(Veuve Cliquot), Highland Truffle (Macallen 12-year-old whiskey), Lucky Brownie (Saint Brendan’s Irish Cream) and other flavors.
In addition to ice cream, beverage options will include non-alcoholic sparkling rose, a house botanical elixir called Madam Coco’s Fountain of Youth NA spirit, or an affogato (coffee with Ice cream).
In addition, the emporium will have a variety of fun gift items. Armstrong said these will include moon crystal-infused candles, boxes of chocolate and "fine French things."
"Madam Coco’s creates a unique shopping experience combined with an adult ice cream social where little parties from bridal to birthday can also be reserved complete with a tarot card reader. Our Enchanted Emporium invites you to step into a little world of treasure finds, curiosities and fantasy," Armstrong said.
