KAiZEN Tavern in Del Ray has closed and reopened as Zuki Moon Asian Kitchen and Cocktail Bar.
The preview menu for the new restaurant is available now, with a full menu coming later this month. Zuki Moon, at 1909 Mt. Vernon Ave., offers a variety of Japanese small plates to share, sushi, rice bowls, ramen and craft cocktails.
ALXNow first reported the rebranding.
The name Zuki comes from the name of a young (fictional) girl: "She was a blend of two cultures, her mother was Filipino and her father was Japanese. Zuki grew up cherishing both her heritage and the love for both countries," according to her story. On her 18th birthday, she turned into a koi fish.
"And so, in honor of Zuki's mythical journey and her love for the diverse cuisines of Japan and the Philippines, Zuki Moon aims to bring you a taste of her favorite foods," the restaurant explains.
