"We're hiring!" signs are up at Josephine restaurant at 109 S. St. Asaph St., a new concept opening later this spring in the building that formerly housed Columbia Firehouse.
Neighborhood Restaurant Group closed Columbia Firehouse during the pandemic, brought it back in early 2023 for private events, and is now pivoting to the new restaurant in the storied venue.
The new restaurant will be a French brasserie and bar.
Neighborhood Restaurant Group management did not immediately reply to an email requesting more information.
There is no mention of the new venture on Neighborhood Restaurant Group's social media, but the job posting online offers some clues:
"The former Columbia Firehouse space is being converted and re-opened as an exciting, high volume, fast-paced French brasserie and bar with a menu that combines both classic French items and fun daily specials. Our service style is casual fine with French classic service finishes, though we're nowhere near pretentious and are dedicated to making everyone (guests and team) comfortable no matter what they're looking for."
