Jollibee
Jollibee will be opening its new location in the Lincolnia neighborhood this Sunday, June 26, the restaurant announced.
The new restaurant will open at 4809 Beauregard St. The restaurant planned to open earlier this month, but staffing and training delays pushed the date to this weekend.
Jollibee is known as the home of "Chickenjoy!"
"Our menu offers many of your favorite comfort foods including fried chicken, French fries, pies, spaghetti, burgers, and more but with a Filipino twist. What’s the twist? Lots of Joy with some Filipino sweetness. We believe that joyful food makes joyful people," the website states.
It is the first Jollibee in Northern Virginia.The Lincolnia building on Beauregard Street was previously occupied by Boston Market.
Jollibee has about 70 restaurants in the United States — primarily in California — and more than 1,300 restaurants worldwide. The only other Virginia location is in Virginia Beach. The closest currently-open location to Alexandria is in Wheaton, Maryland.
The company started in the Philippines.
