Java Grill opened on King Street Friday, taking over the space where Bread & Chocolate cafe was located, at 611 King St. Bread & Chocolate had been there since the late 1970s.
The new Java Grill offers coffee, rolled gelato, warm French pastries and a wide variety of breakfast items. Also on the menu: bistro salads, soups and flatbreads, including lunch and dinner options. (See the full menu here.)
According to the Java Grill website, the new restaurant "is managed by entrepreneurs, parents, and coffee/gelato enthusiasts who are excited to bring you an unforgettable experience. We want to build a safe social zone for children and adults alike to hang out while drinking coffee or eating gelato."
