Indochen has opened its second location in Alexandria.
In addition to the original restaurant in the Cameron Station neighborhood, Indochen is now open at 1625 King St. inside the Hyatt Centric Old Town Alexandria.
The new restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner at the hotel, which opened in 2020. The previous hotel restaurant was a French-Southern concept that close during the pandemic.
The breakfast menu includes traditional items like pancakes and eggs for hotel guests looking for a quick bite. The lunch and dinner items are more traditionally Indochen, featuring curry bowls, butter chicken, tikka masala, rogan josh, chow mein and other Indian or Chinese comfort foods — but the menu also includes hamburgers and crab cakes.
Chef Ram Thapa is at the helm of the new restaurant. He took over London Curry House in the Cameron Station neighborhood in 2018 and turned it into Indochen's first location.
Hours are as follows: breakfast 7 -10 a.m. daily, lunch noon - 2:30 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday, dinner 5 - 9 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. The bar is open 3 - 9 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.
