Hops N Shine is celebrating more than two years in business.
Local restaurant Hops N Shine is celebrating two-and-a-half years of craft brews, gourmet grilled cheese and flavored moonshine. To celebrate, Hops N Shine is hosting numerous events to highlight and celebrate the community that has supported them.
Hops N Shine will celebrate by offering swag giveaways from brewing and distilling companies. Raffle tickets will be offered leading up to the celebration weekend to support charities like Bike to the Beach and Project Second Chance, and a chance to win gift cards and packages.
Wednesday, June 16: Whiskey Wednesday
With more than 120 bottles of whiskey offered, Hops N Shine is offering a ticketed brisket and guided whiskey-tasting to showcase what they do best. The ticket fee covers a four-course, family-style dinner for four and a guided tasting from three local distilleries – KO Distilling, Catoctin Creek, and Bowman Distillery. Guests will also be able to win several limited whiskey bottles by lottery, including Abraham Bowman Gingerbread Number 2 and Catoctin Creek Rabblerouser. Tickets are available online and are limited.
Thursday, June 17: Virtual Tasting
This two-hour long interactive tasting will showcase of Hops N Shine’s favorite breweries. Featured beers will be announced online.
Friday, June 18: Friday Night Live
For the first time in a year, live music is being brought back in person; artist to be determined.
Saturday, June 19: Luau All Day
This Hawaiian-themed extravaganza includes a selection of themed cocktails, beers, ciders and games, like a stein hoisting competition and eating contests. Featured dishes include smoked kalua pork, grilled pineapple, fried spam grilled cheese and more delicious Hawaiian treats.
Sunday, June 20: Father’s Day Wind-Down
Celebrate the dads and father figures in your life with a beer. Sunday at noon marks the end of the charity raffle and winners will be announced over Facebook Live.
