Haute Dogs and Fries
If you're looking for a good hot dog, there's no better place to go in Virginia than Alexandria's own Haute Dogs and Fries.
The restaurant was honored as one of the top 50 hot dogs in America by the Food Network. Specifically, the bánh mì dog won the honors.
"The most popular haute dog is the bánh mì dog, a rainbow of flavors and textures that strikingly impersonates the original sandwich with sliced jalapenos, matchsticks carrots and cucumber, fresh cilantro and hearty, twisty squeeze of sriracha mayo," according to the Food Network list.
Haute Dogs and Fries is at 610 Montgomery St. in Old Town North, with a presence at Nats Park in Southeast DC.
