Rotisserie chicken, ceviche, lomo saltado and much more are on the menu at El Saltado, a new Peruvian restaurant that recently opened at Bradlee Shopping Center in Alexandria.
The star of the menu is likely the charcoal-broiled chicken served with a house salad plus a choice of French fries, fried yuca, rice or Peruvian-style potato salad. (Saltado translates to sautee or stir-fry.)
Beverages include Mexican Cokes, Inca Kola and Rio Grande Champagne Soda.
The new eatery, at 3616 King St., is sandwiched between Lacrosse Unlimited and the new Walgreens (formerly Rite Aid), taking the place of the closed Hong Kong Bistro.
Diners order at the cash register and can get their order to go or take a seat at one of the tables.
The restaurant is open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and delivery is available through DoorDash delivery service.
