A new concept bar has opened above Del Ray Pizzeria on Mount Vernon Avenue.
Dreampt is open 5 - 11 p.m. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays on the second floor at 2216 Mt. Vernon Ave.
Del Ray Pizzeria describes the venue as "A Whimsical Wonderland of Dreamy Delights."
"From the moment you enter, you'll be captivated by the ethereal ambiance that surrounds you. Look above, and behold a wondrous cloud canopy, backlit by LED lighting that casts an otherworldly glow. The fusion of vintage charm and modern aesthetics, alongside captivating abstract art, sets the stage for an evening of exploration and relaxation," according to the company. (Those who are sensitive to flashing lights may not want to visit.)
The menu is not yet available online, but the venue's website shows a variety of brightly-colored or flaming cocktails, including one with a cotton candy top.

For something a little more grounded, the team behind Pork Barrel BBQ in Del Ray (Homegrown Restaurant Group) this month opened Miami Vibes, a Miami Vice-themed pop-up bar. It's at 2312 Mount Vernon Ave. and has a 1980's Florida theme.
