Donutchew is holding its soft opening this week in the Kingstowne area.
The mochi donut and drinks spot is opening at 6460 Old Beulah St.
The bakery serves mochi donuts, which are a pastry that crosses the traditional American fluffy donut with a Japanese mochi (a rice cake). Donutchew also serves up macarons, croffles and bubble tea.
The donut shop also has locations in Northern Virginia in Fairfax, Centreville, Vienna, and Annanadale, plus Gaithersburg, Maryland.
The chain is opening new locations in Richmond, Virginia and Alpharetta, Georgia.
