Bonchon Chicken is planning to open a restaurant at Bradlee Shopping Center in Alexandria.The new restaurant will be adjacent to Starbucks facing King Street.
Bonchon Chicken started in South Korea in 2002, and its name means hometown. The chicken is hand battered, double fried and covered in sauce, giving the chicken a crunchy exterior and tender meat.
Bonchon Chicken has a restaurant at 6852 Richmond Hwy. (The Beacon at Groveton), in addition to restaurants in Springfield, Annandale and Arlington. This is the first restaurant coming to the city of Alexandria.
