Ben'Yays is planning to open at 1028 King St., the space formerly occupied by Lori's Table.
The name on the Special Use Permit paperwork is local resident Theodros Gidey. With some minor updates to the space, Ben'Yays will have seats for 24 people inside and the hours will be 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.
It's not clear if the Ben'Yays in Alexandria (operated by Gidey's company, Benyay's LLC) has any relation to the Nashville, Tennessee restaurant of a similar name, Ben Yay's.
Gidey did not immediately respond to a request for information from Alexandria Living.
Lori's Table closed in December.
