Alexandria Restaurant Partner's new wine bar and restaurant, BARCA, arrived on a barge on the Potomac River over the weekend and was moved to land Monday morning.
The restaurant will be built using the two large shipping containers, which will be extensively renovated once after they are set up at Robinson Landing.
BARCA will feature an intimate indoor wine bar open air-seating with fire tables, awnings and heaters.
The second shipping container will house the kitchen, which will make small plate dishes.
The restaurant was designed by HapstakDemetriou, the designers of some of the D.C. metro area's top eateries, including Rose's Luxury and Fiola Mare.
