Red Lobster may close its Alexandria location after all.
In bankruptcy court recently, the Alexandria Red Lobster on South Van Dorn Street was listed among restaurants that could close unless its lease is renegotiated.
Red Lobster has had financial trouble in the past few years, including instability in its leadership, unsustainable debt and an tall-you-can-eat shrimp deal that caused financial losses.
Red Lobster started in 1968 in Florida, and at its peak it had more than 700 locations worldwide.
