The new ALDI grocery store near Baileys Crossroads is hosting its grand opening Thursday, Sept. 19.
The grand opening at 5725 Columbia Pike includes a chance to win free produce for a year, giveaways, a chance to win a $100 ALDI gift certificate and more.
ALDI is in the midst of a significant nationwide expansion, spending more than $5 billion to expand and promising more than 2,500 stores open in the United States by the end of 2022. ALDI is headquartered in Germany and is known for discount products.
ALDI has multiple locations the area, including Del Ray, Alexandria’s West End Falls Church, Merrifield, Springfield, Hybla Valley and Fairfax. An ALDI will replace the shuttered Kingstowne Toys ‘R Us in 2020.
