About the Author: Sheila P. MosesSimon and Schuster author Sheila Moses is the award-winning author of several books for teens and young readers: The Legend of Buddy Bush; The Return of Buddy Bush; I, Dred Scott: A Fictional Slave Narrative Based on the Life and Legal Precedent of Dred Scott; and The Baptism. Moses is the co-author of Dick Gregory's memoir, Callus on My Soul. Her next book, A Price Was Paid, The History of W.S. Creecy School, is also the subject of an upcoming documentary with the same title. Moses was raised in Rich Square, North Carolina, and currently lives in Alexandria, Virginia.
Writer’s Workshop for Adults by Author Sheila P. Moses
On August 3, Alexandria author Sheila Moses leads a workshop for writers interested in the young-adult genre. She will provide tips on telling a good story and insight into working with a publisher to bring the story to market.
The workshop runs 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Durant Center, 1605 Cameron St, Alexandria, VA and is limited to 20 people. A bag lunch is recommended. Advanced reservations are required. Cost is $75 and due by July 29.
