Wicked Comedy Presents Matt Deakins and hilarious DMV area Comedians

This showcase is about getting to know some of the funniest and most entertaining Comedians in the DMV and stand-up comedy. Let's meet your comics!

Headliner - Matt Deakins is a stand-up comedian based in Washington D.C. Over the course of a few years he has quickly become one of the bright new faces in the local scene as well as performing around the country in comedy clubs and festivals. From his election speech as class president to state-mandated AA meetings, Deakins always had a knack for impressing audiences with his wit and delivery. His unique perspective developed from a lifetime of playing sports and working on construction sites and in factories. He was named Division 3 offensive player of the week during his senior year. That has nothing to do with comedy, but he thinks it's important for you to know he's good at everything and generally better than most people. Since beginning stand-up he has performed on bar shows and at comedy clubs across the country including the DC Improv, Vermont Comedy Club, Cobb's Comedy Club in San Francisco, and Zanies Comedy Club in Nashville. He has worked with headliners Jordan Carlos, Trevor Wallace, Bret Ernst, and Jon Huck. He has headlined smaller venues across the East Coast and his favorite highway is Route 68. Try it out.

Featuring - Sean Savoy is a global force for comedy, as well an actor and writer. Hailing from Columbia Maryland, Savoy has toured the planet. Performing in over 50 European cities and all over the USA with his partner in comedy, the legendary Pablo Francisco. He has appeared on Comedy Central, along with Gotham Comedy Live. Savoy's high impact, rapid fire hilarity belies his mellow mood and laid-back attitude. Combining diverse with characters with a wicked wit, Savoy can reach an audience with his timeless material, while meeting his expressed goal – to bring joy with his jokes and heal hearts with humor all while bringing much fun to his audiences as he's having on stage.

Jana Doughty has been performing internationally for over ten years from New York City and the DMV area to Scotland and Turkey, playing Ariel in The Tempest, Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, and Carol in Black Comedy, amongst other roles. Upon entering motherhood, she abandoned the legitimate theater to make satirical videos of *That* Influencer and tell stories about her son onstage. Geoff Redden is a comedian from Northern Virginia who started doing stand up just six months ago as a part of his midlife crisis. Geoff performs at venues around Virginia, DC and Maryland, where he makes fun of his marriage, his two kids, and his daily attempts to stay sane. When he’s not on stage, Geoff likes to play basketball and video games, and whatever else helps him to pretend that he's still young.

Zayit started comedy in Connecticut, before moving to DC two years ago. Her style is best described as "having thoughts and making it other people's' problem". Catch zayit on TikTok (@zayitika) letting everyone know how truly awful most state flags are!
