Trivia Night - Alexandria Edition and Harry Potter

Literary fiction has a long history of alluding to reality. Wizard supremacy and the concept of “others” are major themes throughout the Harry Potter series. At 9 p.m. on July 31 via Zoom, join staff from the Office of Historic Alexandria for an adult virtual trivia event that explores Alexandria’s complex history through the lens of Harry Potter’s wizarding world. This event is recommended for teens and adults due to the discussed content.

Purchase a $5 ticket to receive your secure Zoom invitation and inspired cocktail recipes for the night (link will be sent out July 30 by 5 pm). Then dress in your best wizard-inspired ensemble to compete in trivia rounds that highlight Alexandria’s African American history while testing your knowledge of the wizarding world. Each ticket holder will be entered into a drawing, with five random winners selected. Online ticket sales will end July 30 at noon to allow time for event information to be emailed to participants.
