See the 'Electric Bus of the Future'

Alexandria Transit Company (DASH) has announced that they will be showcasing a state of the art "All-Electric Bus of the Future" during a special demonstration and display this week.

In addition, DASH customers will have the opportunity to ride the bus as a part of their regular commute free of charge. Riders on the routes serviced by the bus will be asked to complete a survey about their experience after their ride. 

Local events: 

• February 4: 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., Beatley Library, 5005 Duke Street
• February 7:  4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., City Hall Market Square, 301 King Street(5:30 p.m. ATC Board of Directors, City Council and Media evening with remarks by DASH General Manager)
• February 10: 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., City Hall Market Square, 301 King Street

Free Rides to the public on the electric bus will be on the following routes: (subject to change without notice)  

Saturday, February 2 AT2, AT5 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

Monday, February 5 AT6 6:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.

Monday, February 5 AT8 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Tuesday, February 6 AT1, AT2 6:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.

Tuesday, February 6 AT1 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Wednesday, February 7 AT3, AT4 6:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.

Thursday, February 8 AT7 6:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
