The City will host “RecFest” on Saturday, May 5, 10 a.m.-1 p.m., at Armistead L. Boothe Park. RecFest is an explosion of fun for the whole family, representing aquatics, exercise and fitness, sports, enrichment, creative and performing arts, environmental education, out-of-school time, and summer camps!

Attendees can enjoy free demos and clinics, opportunities to meet instructors and staff, and a chance to register for programs and camps on-site. The event will also feature a live performance by “Rainbow Rock Band,” who will perform interactive pop rock children’s songs where kids can play instruments along with the band.
Other free activities include kite making and flying, face painting, a moon bounce, balloon art, live animal demonstrations, and hands-on art projects with the City’s Mobile Art Lab. Participate in the RecFest “Passport to Fun” to win a prize, and be one of the first 25 people to register for a summer camp and receive a gift. Food trucks will offer food for sale on-site. Admission and all activities are free.
