Portside History: Archaeology Walking Tour

As part of the Portside History series of activities at the Old Town waterfront, join an expert-led tour to learn more about new discoveries, significant finds, and the hidden history that has been revealed through historical documentary data and excavation.

Each waterfront block’s history will be told through photos, maps, and artifacts. 

The walking tour will start at the foot of King Street at the site of Interim King Street Park.

Tickets are $20/person with proceeds from the tour going to the Save our Ship fund.

Pre-registration is required through Alexandriava.gov/Shop. Advance registration is required for all programs as space is limited. In November the tours will end at one of the new Robinson Landing townhomes.
