Poetry Reading: Betty Jo Middleton

Join Betty Jo Middleton for a poetry reading and book signing Sunday, June 4 from 2 - 4 p.m. at Made in ALX in Old Town North!

Betty Jo Middleton grew up in Arkansas but has lived in Alexandria since 1968. She and her husband Howard raised their two children here. Betty Jo has worked as a journalist, a teacher, and a religious educator.

She has written poems since early childhood, but Senior Moments: Poems is her first chapbook. She is working on two more, one called Second Fifties and the other Poems for the Child in Each of Us. Her poems have appeared on DASH buses and the King Street Trolley, in Meditations on Class, Sandcutter 2022, and newspapers and newsletters. She lives in Old Town North, right around the corner from Made in ALX.
