National Chamber Ensemble - Marvelous Mozart and Mendelssohn
" For many years, the National Chamber Ensemble has been a beacon of artistry and accessibility. Their work continues to offer hope in a dark time, as well as a place to come and unwind and enjoy musicians who are doing what they do best." DCMetroTheaterArts
Mozart and Mendelssohn - both child prodigies, pianists, musical conductors, and teachers and two of the most-celebrated musical figures of all time. Mendelssohn was the only musical prodigy of the 19th century whose stature could rival that of Mozart. Enjoy a concert featuring the works of two virtuoso composers whose music still excites and touches the heart.
Featuring the Piano Trio in C major K.548, Piano Quartet in E Flat Major K.493 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and the Piano Quartet No. 2 in F Minor by Felix Mendelssohn.
NCE's Internationally acclaimed roster of musicians will delight with virtuoso performances, humor and storytelling. The artists featured on May 21 are Leo Sushansky (violin/artistic director), Carlos César Rodríguez (piano), Uri Wassertzug (viola) and Steven Honigberg (cello).
