Part of Classical Movements’ “Sounds of Hope & Harmony” series of live, socially distanced outdoor concerts in Old Town Alexandria, on August 1 Chilean baritone Javier Arrey (described by the Washington Post as “ardent and warm”) – who has performed at the Met, Wiener Staatsoper and other major houses around the world - is joined by soprano Kaylee Norris and pianist Taylor Hutchinson, for an evening of operatic excerpts and songs, including Beethoven’s gorgeous “An die ferne Geliebte.”
Concerts are presented Saturday evenings at 6pm and 7:30pm. Concerts take place rain or shine, but in case of severe weather, the rain date will be the following Sunday.
