How to Be Happy
The AFF will screen the award-winning movie this weekend.
The Alexandria Film Festival will host a FREE screening of the documentary film Happy, directed by Academy Award nominee Roko Belic (Genghis Blues, Trust Me).
The film takes the viewer on a journey from Louisiana to India in search of what really makes people happy. Combining real life stories of people from around the world and powerful interviews with the leading scientists in happy research, Happy explores the secrets behind our most valued emotion.
The screening will be at The Lyceum, Alexandria’s History Museum, 201 S. Washington Street. (On-site parking is limited, with ample street parking available.) The AFF will host a Q&A immediately following the screening with director Roko Belic and Matthew Leitao, MA, MPP from the Digital Health and Happiness Lab at Georgetown University.
Belic will also share a sneak preview of his new film, LŪN, now in production.
