Horses in Action Equestrian Demonstration

Join members of the First Virginia Regiment and the First Regiment Light Dragoons and Rifleman (Horses in Action) for hands-on activities and military demonstrations.

Watch 18th-century reenactors perform drills on horseback and on foot while learning about horses in the Revolutionary War. Kids can participate in a "militia muster" and drill with wooden muskets before repelling a potential attack during a military demonstration. During the saddle demonstrations at the stable, visitors can untack the horses and handle the equipment to learn how George Washington or his dragoons used each piece of gear.
