Civil War Artillery Day at Fort Ward

 On October 6th, the Fort Ward Museum will be putting on a free live history program that will appeal to Civil War enthusiasts of all ages! Learn more about the role and equipment of Civil War artillerymen in the Defenses of Washington at the Civil War Artillery Day. 

Reenactors from the 1st Connecticut Heavy Artillery, a unit stationed at Fort Ward during the Civil War, present firing demonstrations, equipment displays, and camp life for artillerymen in the Defenses of Washington. Weather dependent.
