Alexandria Conflict Resolution Training
Businesses of all types across the Commonwealth have been tasked with upholding Executive Order 63, which mandates mask wearing in all indoor spaces. Earlier this year, there was a highly-publicized event involving an Alexandria business and a disgruntled customer. While this event was extreme, the City of Alexandria recognizes that the global health pandemic is creating high tension situations for many businesses.
To help Alexandria-based businesses and their employees deal with these kinds of stressful and charged interactions, the City of Alexandria and the Alexandria Economic Development Partnership are sponsoring free training sessions for Alexandria businesses and their employees- partnering with the National Center for Conflict Resolution (NCCR). The two-hour interactive virtual sessions will help employees hone their skills, and assure they are prepared to respectfully respond to the emotions of clients & customers to achieve better outcomes.
These free training sessions are being offered on:
- Monday Oct.19 at 11:45 AM and 2:00 PM
- Tuesday Oct. 20 at 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM

There is no cost to attendees; multiple people from any Alexandria-based organization can participate (and can even register simultaneously under one business/organization).
