Alexandria Choral Society's year-end concert, Snow on Snow, highlights accomplished (talented) women composers in ‘Alleluia’ by Elaine Hagenberg, ‘Ring out!’ by Jennaya Robison, ‘Silent Night’ by Laura Jekabsone, ‘Peace on Earth’ by Errollyn Wallen, and ’Go Tell It on the Mountain’ by Rosephanye Powell, alongside well-known male composers, presenting a newly written in 2021 Bob Chilcott’s ‘Opening’, Victor C. Johnson’s ‘Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening’, Jack Klebanow’s arrangement of Joseph Hadar’s ‘Erev Shel Shoshanim (Evening of Roses)’, Matthew Culloton’s ‘Still, Still, Still’ and the all-time favorite, John Rutter’s ‘We Wish You a Merry Christmas.’
