Local leaders gathered Wednesday night for Alexandria's Oscar Awards for the business community.
"This is our version of the Oscars as we roll out the red carpet and share the stories behind the success of Alexandria businesses. Judging is competitive and winning is a tremendous honor," according to The Chamber ALX.
Scott Shaw was named Business Leader of the Year.
"Shaw’s contributions to the Alexandria community as a developer, business owner, and philanthropist are extensive," The Chamber ALX explained. (Read more about him here.)
