Maribeth Geraci has dressed a lot of influential people. She develops personal brand strategies for government and community leaders, as well as business professionals in a way that communicates ease, confidence and style.
Geraci’s specialty store, Dress Code, will be the featured pop-up shop at The Seedling Collective in Alexandria September through November 2019.
Dress Code headquarters is in Greensboro, N.C., where Geraci’s retail boutique serves local and national clients, with a curated collection of business, social and casual wardrobes. However, Geraci’s expertise expands well beyond Greensboro — so much so that she offers a Boutique Box service that boxes and ships carefully selected outfits to busy clients around the country. Old Town Alexandria is an ideal location for her concept, she noted.
“We’ve worked with a number of clients in Northern Virginia and the Greater Washington, DC area, so this is an opportunity to expand our presence, from a beautiful pop-up space in Alexandria,” said Geraci. “I’m impressed with what Seedling owner Meaghan Forhan has done with the space and it’s an ideal location for the kind of relaxed consultative services I provide.”
The Dress Code Pop-up Shop will maintain retail hours Tuesday through Saturday during the fall, plus provide individual consultations by appointment. The Seedling Collective is located at 121 South Royal Street in Old Town Alexandria, half a block from King Street.
Geraci is a personal branding consultant and personal development coach who has always had an eye for fashion. Opening the Dress Code boutique was just the beginning of how her love of fashion evolved. Through her own life's journey, Geraci realized that everyone can refresh and update their personal brand at every stage of life.
Starting her career in mortgage banking, Geraci learned early the importance of projecting a professional image. Dress Code was founded through the process of defining Geraci’s own personal brand. She has always worked in sales and understands what it takes to market yourself and your firm to others, especially in a highly competitive environment, she noted.
Coaching corporate teams and individuals to identify and create an effective executive image that is authentic and personal, Geraci often works with executives in Fortune 1000 companies. She also works to convey the executive expectations of wardrobe and personal presentation to everyone in the organization. Geraci’s consultative approach helps individuals understand how to streamline their look, based on individual fashion personality, career goals, budget, and responsibilities.
