A new art studio for children is opening in Alexandria!
Kidcreate Studio's Alexandria studio, opening Saturday at 724 S. Jefferson St., offers classes, camps, workshops, birthday parties and more for children. Special opportunities for home-schooled children are also available.
The Saturday, March 14 grand opening will include free art activities, coupons, snacks and the chance to win prizes, too. The grand opening party is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the studio. (RSVP here!)
Alexandria resident Diane Greenbaum, who came from a family of entrepreneurs, decided to open the studio in Alexandria after spending years in government contracting.
"I chose it because it's my community. It's where I live, where I know people and businesses, and where I want to raise my son. There are like-minded parents here that want the same type of enriching growth opportunities for their children," she told Alexandria Living Magazine.
Kidcreate Studio runs a variety of educational-but-fun projects for children from ages 18 months to 12 years old.
The most popular, Greenbaum said: "Slime and unicorns! The kids can't seem to get enough of either of those two themes. And to combine those two ideas together — even better! Unicorn Slime is our top birthday party project right now!"
