Old Town Alexandria is welcoming a new tattoo spa.
inq will be opening later this year at 1011 King Street (the block between Routes 1 North and South, next to Current Boutique; see map below).
According to its website, inq North America, LLC, was founded here in Virginia last year. “inq is disrupting the tattoo industry with a number of high-end boutiques that focus on clean design, transparency, and a customer-first philosophy.”
inq focuses on giving customers a spa-like experience – herbal tea included – and offers a wide range of natural aftercare products. In addition, the tattoo shop puts an emphasis on customer education, especially for first-timers.
“Our sole focus is to ensure that you feel welcome, safe, and walk away with an amazing tattoo that you absolutely love. If you have ever been uncomfortable in other tattoo parlors, give inq a chance and let us change your mind,” according to the website.
inq will offer both temporary (two to three weeks) tattoos and a signature tattoo using premium organic and vegan ink. The shop will also offer ink allergy testing for safety, a free initial design consultation and custom designs.
inq will be opening another location in Loudoun County at a future date.
