Alexandria Living Magazine, the only lifestyle publication covering the Alexandria region, is looking for a positive, smart, entrepreneurial ad sales associate.
Alexandria Living Magazine launched in January 2018 online and in print in September that year. The area's premier lifestyle magazine showcases the individuals, places, businesses, events and issues affecting the dynamic and growing City of Alexandria and surrounding neighborhoods.
With a talented business development team, the magazine is taking a unique approach to partnering with local businesses. Opportunities for local businesses, non-profit organizations and associations include sponsored content, sweepstakes, social media marketing, events and brand awareness.
This is a part-time, flexible-hours, base + commission (up to 30%) position. A 90-day trial period will apply to make sure everyone's happy.
The applicant for this position should have:
- experience in advertising, sales or related experience
- a warm, positive, welcoming personality that encourages relationship-building
- a professional, creative, problem-solving attitude and strong presentation skills
- exceptional written/verbal communication skills
- the ability to work independently/be a self-starter, and
- an entrepreneurial spirit.
