Alexandria Lighting & Supply, which has called 701 N. Henry St. home for about 60 years, is moving to Alexandria's West End.
The new facility will be at 444 S. Pickett St., in a new showroom under construction now on the ground floor of the Brandywine Senior Living building.
Between leaving the old space and opening in the new space, Alexandria Lighting & Supply will be hosting a pop-up shop at 102 N. Fayette St. The pop-up shop opened March 1 and will remain open through the end of April.
The South Pickett Street showroom will open in early May. When it does, it will include a new venture, Electric Cafe, that will offer espresso, coffee and artisan breads from a local bakery.
Alexandria Lighting & Supply is moving to make way for new construction — a new multifamily housing development with retail on the ground floor.
