Calling all entrepreneurs: The Alexandria Economic Development Partnership (AEDP) is looking for three fresh pop-up ideas to operate rent-free in the Seedling Collective for a week this summer.
AEDP’s Pop-up ALX program arranges pop-ups around Alexandria, allowing vendors to test the market without making a long-term commitment. AEDP has hosted multiple successful pop-ups, including Old Town Books.
The Seedling Collective is a creative working space that opened in May 2019 at 121 S. Royal St. Recently, it housed a successful pop-up collaboration with fitness studio Barre3 and lifestyle publication The Scout Guide.
AEDP and The Seedling Collective are partnering to the three new pop-ups for a week in August. Three three pop-ups will receive one week free in the Showroom, a 500 sq. ft. space designed to host pop-ups, events and more. The businesses that are chosen for this program will receive free wifi, decor furnishings, advertising support and A-frame signage at the King Street Farmer’s Market on Saturdays.
Vendors with a vision are invited to apply by July 1. The businesses chosen to pop-up in the space will be announced the week of July 9.
There is no cost to apply.
