Carnival equipment is arriving at Landmark Mall on trailers in preparation for the 2019 carnival April 4 - 28.
Carnival rides, food, games and more are set up at Landmark Mall in Alexandria's West End.
The carnival, with rides, food, games and activities, will be open April 4 to April 28 in the parking lot outside the former Macy's, which is now the temporary home of Carpenter's Shelter.
Landmark Mall itself, except for Sears, is closed. The City of Alexandria and property owner Howard Hughes Corp. are working on redevelopment plans for the entire 51-acre site in addition to roadway improvements in the surrounding area.
The carnival opened April 4 and runs through April 28.
