Who wouldn't want to hear from two former Virginia governors — one a Democrat, the other a Republican — about what's happening in the current political climate?
That's what participants will hear Monday, Sept. 29 when they visit George Mason University for an evening with former governors Terry McAuliffe and Bob McDonnell.
McAuliffe, a Democrat, served as Virginia's governor from 2014 to 2018; McDonnell was governor from 2010 to 2014. Virginia is the only state that bars governors from serving consecutive terms.
At an event dubbed "Virginia's Next Chapter: Perspectives from McAuliffe and McDonnell," is part of the university's Pizza and Perspectives," series; the two will discuss leadership, public service and today's politics.
The event takes place at 6-7:15 p.m. at 3401 Fairfax Dr., Fuse Room 1311. Registration is required.
Co-sponsored by University Life Mason Square and the Schar School of Policy and Government, this event will also feature an audience Q&A, free pizza, and networking opportunities.
