The stage is set for the remainder of the season at The Barns at Wolf Trap where a captivating mix of concerts, comedy, and chamber music promises magical evenings of unforgettable performances. Highlights of the upcoming season include:
- The Del McCoury Band (Jan. 21, 22, 24, 25, 26) hosts a five-night bluegrass extravaganza.
- NPR’s Ari Shapiro (Feb. 7) brings a witty and comedic cabaret act filled with songs and stories for one night only.
- Broadway stars sparkle under the spotlight with performances by Tituss Burgess (Feb. 12,13) and John Lloyd Young (April 23).
- The return of District of Raga, a collaboration in its third season that explores musical and cultural influences of the South Asian continent. Audiences can experience the modern Carnatic sounds of Sid Sriram (Feb. 28), the expressive khayal music of Ustad Naseeruddin Saami & The Saami Brothers (April 5), and the classical contemporary crossover of Kala Ramnath, Abhijit Banerjee & Christylez Bacon (April 26).
- Celebrate Celtic heritage with Enter The Haggis’ final tour (Feb. 26) and Irish Masters of the DC Area (March 14 + 15).
- Enjoy acclaimed country music with Darrell Scott (March 6), Duane Betts & Palmetto Motel (April 18), and Brad Tursi of Old Dominion (April 17).
- Renowned rockers such as Virginia’s own Keller Williams (March 1), Jim Messina (March 5), Rick Wakeman (March 27), and The Fixx (April 15 + 16) are all heading to The Barns.
- The E Street Band’s drummer and bandleader for Conan O’Brien, Max Weinberg’s Jukebox (April 1,2) returns for an interactive experience that calls for audience participation.
- Acclaimed pianist and Wolf Trap Artist Advisor Wu Han concludes her tenure curating Chamber Music at The Barns with a spectacular final season featuring international opera star (and Wolf Trap Opera alum) John Holiday (Jan. 19); chamber virtuosos Wu Han, David Finckel & Arnaud Sussman(Feb. 16); pianists Alessio Bax & Lucille Chung (March 2); Schubert’s “Trout” Quintet (March 16); a partnership in sonatas by Julia Fischer & Jan Lisiecki (March 26); a night of Mozart, Grieg, Fauré, Prokofiev (April 4); and Tchaikovsky’s Souvenir de Florence (April 25).
