Looking forward to seeing some great concerts this year in Alexandria and around the DC metro area? Here’s a look at a few performers — including some blasts from the past — whose upcoming concert tours in 2026 will bring them to a venue near you:
- Billy Gibbons, founder of ZZ Top, will take the stage at The Birchmere Monday, Feb. 23 with his brand of blues-rock; tickets are scarce but still available at press time. ZZ Top's first album was released in 1971.
- Boy George: The “Do You Really Want to Hurt Me?” singer will take the stage Feb. 25 at MGM National Harbor. Boy George (George Alan O'Dowd) saw his first hit in 1982.
- Lady Gaga: The entertainer’s Mayhem Ball show is heading to DC March 23 and March 24 at Capital One Arena. Her first hit "First Dance" was in 2008. Her real name? Stefani Germanotta.
- KC and the Sunshine Band: Performing March 27 at MGM National Harbor. Their song "Get Down Tonight" was a hit in 1975.
- Paul Anka: Legendary songwriter Paul Anka will take the stage April 14 at the Warner Theatre. His hits include “Put Your Head on My Shoulder,” “Diana” and “Lonely Boy.” "Diana" was his first hit in 1957.
- David Lee Roth: Van Halen fans will get a kick out of seeing former frontman David Lee Roth belt out some of the hits including “Jump,” “Panama,” “Running with the Devil” and more, May 16 at Warner Theatre in DC. Van Halen's rendition of "You Really Got Me" became a hit in 1978.
- Sting: The iconic singer will welcome fans at Wolf Trap’s Filene Center for three nights — May 21, 22 and 23. Tickets go on sale Feb. 27. Known for his groundbreaking work as a solo artist and the frontman and songwriter for the seminal group The Police, Sting kicks off the 2026 summer season with three epic nights! Sing along to "Message in a Bottle" and "Every Breath You Take." After going solo from The Police, his first hit was "If You Love Somebody, Set Them Free," in 1985.
- James Taylor: American singer-songwriter will grace Wolf Trap Aug. 30. His first major hit was "Fire
- and Rain" released in 1970.
- Chicago and Styx: The Windy Cities Tour will blow into Jiffy Lube Live July 20. Chicago's first #1 hit was "If You Leave Me Now" in 1976.
- Lynyrd Skynyrd and Foreigner: These 70s-era rock bands will perform also at Jiffy Lube Live July 25. Lynyrd Skynyrd's first hit was "Gimme Three Steps" in 1973.
