It felt like the days before the pandemic in a lot of ways, with the streets of Old Town Alexandria closed off for a major festival that drew thousands of people out in near-perfect weather.
The thrice-delayed Festival of Speed & Style finally arrived Sunday, Sept. 5. Several dozen fast, old and unique cars lined the streets while sponsors popped up booths with activities for all ages.
The festival raised money for ALIVE!, which has served thousands of people in need here in Alexandria, and the USO of Metropolitan Baltimore-Washington.
