One of the East Coast’s most stylish and celebrated car events, Old Town Festival of Speed & Style presented by Burke & Herbert Bank, returns to Alexandria for its seventh year on Sunday, May 17, 2026. This year’s event, which expects upwards of 40,000 attendees, will feature a special tribute to Ferrari, showcasing a stunning collection that celebrates the elegance, performance, and legacy of one of the world’s most iconic automotive brands with cars on display ranging from the 1950s to today.
The Festival is a free, family-friendly event taking place from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on the 400-600 blocks of King Street, and the 100 blocks of North and South St. Asaph Street and North and South Pitt Street. “If you haven’t seen a fast, exotic, wicked-cool car like a Ferrari, Lamborghini, Aston Martin or Cobra up close and in person, this is the event for you! Combine that with high-style, fashion, music, and fun, and you now know why this is such a special event. Please join us! Everyone is welcome.”
A unique highlight of the festival will be the 12 noon Style Celebration at the Center Stage, complementing the sophisticated cars on display. Fashionistas will be styled to match a handful of pre-selected exotic cars to create a stunning display of haute couture and glam. Immediately following the Style Celebration, the day's judges, led by chief judge, Ralf Berthiez, will announce the award winners across 11 categories, including: Timeless Elegance, Contemporary Exotic, Spirit of the Road, Excellence in Ferrari Sports, and more. Previous years’ winners can be viewed HERE.
Since its inception, this nationally acclaimed, yet deeply local event, has always given back to the Alexandria community. To date, the organization has raised more than $175,000 for the community. The 2026 charitable nonprofits are:
- ALIVE!, which fights poverty and hunger in the region;
- Community Lodgings,which lifts families from homelessness and instability with transitional housing and youth education programs;
- and the Breast Center Collective of Alexandria, which exists to increase the individual survivability of breast cancer for everyone.
“This festival puts Burke & Herbert Bank right where we belong – at the heart and soul of our community,” said David P. Boyle, chief executive officer, Burke & Herbert Bank.
“Helping to build local spirit, drawing clients to our local businesses, and helping fund local charities is part of our mission as the hometown bank of Alexandria. This is the sixth year we have been the Title Sponsor of the Old Town Festival of Speed & Style, and we’re honored to provide manpower and funding that helps fuel the festival and their mission to sponsor this year’s charities: Alive!, Community Lodgings, and the Breast Cancer Collective. We hope to see you there.”
The festival will kick off the night prior with the High-Octane Ball on Saturday, May 16, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Land Rover Alexandria. The theme of this year’s gala will be Black, White and Red to give attendees the opportunity to don their finest formal threads. Tickets are now available here for individuals or group tables for a night of great food and beverages, live music, and a silent auction. As with the Festival, all proceeds go to the featured local charities.
