ALX Dog Walk is coming up this spring in Alexandria.
Drumroll, please! Spring is just around the corner, officially arriving on Thursday, March 20 at 5:01 a.m. It's time to get out your calendars and pencil in some fun time around these springtime events coming up in Alexandria. Here's a peek at some of the most exciting events coming up around town:
• Anticipated to open in late March, new waterfront public art installation Break Water, by D.C.-based artist Nekisha Durrett, will honor the resilience and strength of Black communities, referencing both protection and endurance during crises.
• The inaugural PNC Alexandria Half is coming to Old Town on April 27, 2025, featuring a half marathon, 5K and kids dash. The course starts and finishes in Old Town and allows participants to explore 5 miles each way on the George Washington Memorial Parkway.
• Alexandria welcomes LGBTQ+ couples, families and friends to stay in and explore the city during WorldPride 2025 from May 17 to June 8, 2025, and beyond with special hotel packages, Pride Month events and more.

Pup-Centric Weekend
