The MGM National Harbor Conservatory exhibition
Take a stroll through the iconic areas of the DMV all at once! MGM National Harbor’s latest conservatory display showcases the sights and attractions of Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C. The hotel is located just across the Potomac River from Alexandria.
The whimsical 15,000-square-foot space is filled with vibrant florals and oversized elements that capture the elegance of each region. The current display is open 24/7 to the public and will be up through Nov. 16.
The exhibition features:
Maryland
· A 20-ft.-tall replica of Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse in Annapolis
· Large Maryland blue crab
· Ten oversized Black-eye Susans, the state flower of Maryland
· Two flying seagulls
· U.S. flag and Maryland flag atop the lighthouse
Virginia
· A 30-ft.-tall replica of the Cape Henry Lighthouse and lightkeeper’s cottage near Virginia Beach
· Oversized flying cardinal to represent Virginia’s official state bird
Washington D.C.
- Scaled 40-ft.-tall Washington Monument with aluminum cap that mirrors the original
- Large cherry blossom tree

· Sixteen oversized pink and purple flowers
· 10 monarch butterflies
