Set in the year 1799, you are invited Feb. 17 to Gadsby's Tavern to the recreation of this famous celebration of Washington’s birthday. The evening includes an 18th-century banquet, English country dancing, dessert collation, character re-enactors, and General and Mrs. George Washington. Period costume optional, “after-five” attire encouraged.
There will be a cash bar during the event. Festivities will begin at 5:30 p.m. Advance reservation is $125; $150 to sit in the main dining room with the Washingtons or $250 to dine at the same table with the General and Lady.
