The Del Ray Citizens' Association's GardenFest is set for Sunday, April 27 from noon to 4 p.m. The event is a fun, free, educational afternoon of garden-centric demonstrations, informational booths and interactive activities set at Colasanto Park baseball field, located at Mount Vernon and Commonwealth avenues.
Residents are invited to come out and learn about all sorts of gardening topics, such as the Master Gardeners of Northern Virginia plant clinic, at-home composting, growing native plants and beekeeping.

GardenFest will give away hundreds of native tree seedlings and seed packets to anyone who wants them! GardenFest is hosted annually by the Del Ray Citizens Association (DRCA). You can learn more about the DRCA, and how to become a member, at this link.

The Del Ray Citizens' Association was formed in 1954 as a non-profit 501(c)(4) organization for Del Ray residents and business owners who live, do or own a business or deal with property in Alexandria.
The goal of the DRCA is to keep its members informed of many aspects of Alexandria City life, including land use, public safety, volunteer opportunities, City Commissions, Alexandria Public Schools, parks and recreation facilities, transportation, business, housing, and many other major issues which impact quality of life.
