Community Lodgings invites the community to Under the Stars, a celestial evening that celebrates the stories and perseverance of the families and youth it serves, while raising essential funds for its Transitional Housing, Affordable Housing and Youth Education Programs.
Community Lodgings expresses their gratitude to the Presenting Sponsor, Virtue Feed & Grain, for their partnership and support in making this event possible.
“Under the Stars is a powerful reminder of what’s possible when a community comes together,” said Lynn Thomas, Executive Director of Community Lodgings. “For the families we serve, housing is not just shelter—it’s the foundation for stability, growth, and opportunity. Each key we provide symbolizes not just a new home but a fresh start. With the continued support of our community, we can create more pathways to housing, education, and brighter futures for families in Alexandria.”
The event will take place Wednesday, June 10, 2026, from 6:30–9 p.m. at ALX Community Waterfront, 201 N. Union St., Alexandria.
Guests will enjoy an ethereal, starry night and learn more about how every key provided unlocks more than a door—it unlocks a story of resilience, stability, and hope.
“CatRad Creative is honored to partner with Community Lodgings to bring Under the Stars to life,” said Catherine Radachi Chumley, owner and creative director of CatRad Creative. “Our goal is to create an immersive and meaningful experience that reflects the resilience of the families served and inspires the community to continue investing in brighter futures.”
The evening will feature bites and beverages created by renowned Chef Kenneth Clay, founder of I Just Wanna Cook and former executive chef of Holland America Westerdam Cruise, along with music by DJ Jun Tao.
