Get ready to attend the Del Ray Chili Cook Off
The 2026 Del Ray Citizens’ Association Chili Cook Off will take place Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026 from 5-8 p.m. at Commonwealth Academy, 1321 Leslie Ave. in Alexandria.
In addition to chili, there will also be beer from Port City Brewing, live music by Blue Death, treats from Rolling Sloanes Bakery and pizza from Jet's Pizza.
- DRCA Member ticket: $15
- Non-DRCA Member ticket: $20
- Chili Contest Entry ticket*: $20
(*Note: Contest Entry ticket is for those who are entering their chili in the competition – purchase includes event access, drink tickets, and samples.)
- Children (Under 12) ticket**: Free
(**Note: Children’s ticket includes event entry, but not drinks or chili samples.)

Proceeds from the 2026 Chili Cook Off will benefit La Tiendita at Mount Vernon Community School!
The MVCS “Tiendita” was established in 2024 as a dedicated resource center designed to support students and their families. This space serves as a vital school community hub where families in need can access basic necessities such as non-perishable food items, hygiene products, school supplies, and clothing. Our mission is to ensure that every student has the essential tools and resources they need to arrive at school ready to learn and thrive. The Tiendita is rooted in dignity and care for our school community.
