CareerCon is back this year!
The Chamber ALX’s CareerCon: A Post-Grad Masterclass, presented by Virginia Tech Innovation Campus will take place Saturday, May 3 from 10 a.m.-1:15 p.m. at the Virginia Tech Innovation Campus, 3625 Potomac Ave. in Alexandria.
The event is free for students and parents. CareerCon is a guide for high school and undergraduate students in pursuit of their professional goals. Participants will meet and hear from industry pros and learn skills that never appear on a syllabus.
For those who attend the entire event, they will be eligible* for scholarships totaling $4,000. Winners will be selected at random during the closing session.

10 a.m.: Registration
10:30 a.m.: Opening remarks and scholarship eligibility information*
11 a.m.: "Meet the Pros" Track Session - featuring eight breakout rooms with professional panels in Healthcare, Finance, STEM & Cybersecurity, Entrepreneurship, Hospitality, Criminal Justice & Government, and more!
12 noon: "How To" Track Session - featuring breakout rooms highlighting often overlooked topics, including applying for college, the job search, establishing credit, and more!
1 p.m.: Closing session and scholarship announcement - presented by
*Students must be enrolled in public/private high school or as a college undergraduate at the time of winning the scholarship. Funds, to be sent directly to the educational institution, must be utilized within four years of announcement. Additional scholarship eligibility and criteria will be shared on site at the event.
